Overall I would choose another place
Catherine at reception was friendly. Location is ok to go out (but 30min walk fromPoblado station)
1) My booking reservation was saying it was a 4 bed dorm. I sent a message to specifically request a female dorm and was told I would be. At check in I was shown a make dorm. The hostel did a gesture to put me in a private for the first night for no extra cost. The second night I was moved to a female dorm with ten bed. Someone of the room said it was the cheapest room of the hostal and mentioned a price that was well below the 35,000 a night I was charged. Overall I struggle understanding what I booked for and paid for and what I was provided with 2) the communication before my arrival was not easy; I was asking questions about tours and was not getting the information I wanted 3) pretty noisy 4) There should be a more clear side outside with the name of the place

Breakfast was delicious, the pillows were super plush,...
Breakfast was delicious, the pillows were super plush, bathrooms seemed to always be impeccable. Staff was very kind and helpful. My favorite part of my stay was Hendricks; the cutest pup in all of Medellin!

Probably wouldn’t go back
The location
It’s a hostal and quite expensive for what you get. The staff at the front desk try their hardest but yeah let’s just leave it at that. We had an issue with changing rooms - my friend ended up in a box they sold as a single room but in reality it used to be a walk in pantry because it was in the kitchen ahaha we laugh about it now ... not so funny at the time ... waking up to drunken guests coming home cooking bacon sandwiches at 3am or the hostal staff washing pots and pans at 5am. My partner is Latino so it wasn’t a Español communication thing more a “they didn’t understand but didn’t say they didn’t understand”. Would I go back to Medellin yes definitely would I go back to Happy Buddha? No thanks.
